Cambridge Certificates for Professionals

BEC - Business English Certificate

The Cambridge BEC certificate focuses on Business English. It is suitable for those over 16 years of age who are planning to build a career in business or are already working in business. The preparatory course is available at our Wall Street English language school in Prague 1.

There are 3 levels:

BEC Preliminary

Reading and Writing: 90 minutes
Listening: 40 minutes
Speaking: 12 minutes

BEC Vantage

Reading: 60 minutes
Writing: 45 minutes
Listening: 40 minutes
Speaking: 14 minutes

BEC Higher

Reading: 60 minutes
Writing: 70 minutes
Listening: 40 minutes
Speaking: 16 minutes

BEC Certificate Preparation Courses

We offer individual preparation courses for the exams with a professionally trained tutor. Preparation includes 6 to 12 hours of individual tuition and self-study. BEC preparation courses are available at the Wall Street English language school in Prague.

ICFE - INTERNATIONAL CERTIFICATE IN FINANCIAL ENGLISH

ICFE, International Certificate in Financial English, confirms your ability to work in an international finance environment or to study at a university with a focus on accounting and finance in English. This certificate is between levels B2 and C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference. The ICFE exam preparation course is available at our language school Wall Street English in Prague 1.

Who is the ICFE exam for?

This exam is suitable for professionals, accountants, controlling and reporting specialists, salespeople, executives and experts in accounting and finance.

The following are also recommended for this certificate:

  • proficiency in a certain level of business English,
  • practice a profession in finance and accounting.

Organisation of the test

The ICFE exam consists of four separate parts: reading, writing, listening and speaking. The exam covers all the topics in the areas commonly encountered by professionals:

  • investment
  • financial statements
  • insurance
  • accounting software
  • buyouts...

For this certificate we offer an individual preparatory course led by a professionally trained lecturer. This usually involves 6 - 12 hours of private tuition and self-study.

ILEC Certificate Preparation Course

The comprehensive preparation course for the ILEC certificate takes 48 hours. The recommended level of English for the ILEC exam is between B2 and C1.

What to expect from the preparation course?

The course covers not only all the topics required for the exam, but also all four necessary language skills, including legal writing. Our classes are limited to only 6 students, which allows for a high level of learning. The instructor takes an individual teaching approach with each student and provides feedback throughout the course.
